MONTE BRAVEHEART (2) missed the placings two starts back when resuming then ran a better race and finished 2.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6½f at Kembla Grange. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. WAR STAR (5) returned last time with a solid third at Wyong over 6f after being in contention on the turn. This is an easier race so he is perfectly placed to break through. CHEVAL GRIS (12) raced on the speed last time but couldn't finish the race off and clocked-in tenth over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes. THE BEAST (8) could only manage to finish sixth, beaten 5.5 lengths, at his latest appearance over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury. Appeals as a top-four contender.
