CRANC (1) kept coming only to just miss last start over 6f at Naracoorte. Should be near his peak for this. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of another big performance. BORN TO SHINE (12) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 6½f at Ararat, beaten 3 lengths. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MISS TALLCHIEF (10) turned things around last start and got the job done by a head over 6f at Warrnambool. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. Lay-off. The engagement of Jarrod Fry is a positive move. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
