MAWKEB (4) tackled city class latest when sixth at Moonee Valley, finishing 4.5 lengths from the winner. Will find this easier. Well placed so expecting a strong run. STATE OF MAINE (9) finished 2.25 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 1m at Ararat, an improvement on her fifth at this track the run before. Likely improver with strong prospects. MY MATE SONNY (1) bounced back last start and landed the prize by a neck after being in contention on the turn over 1m at Donald. Finds a suitable race and can make it back-to-back wins. VITRUVIUS (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool, beaten just 1.5 lengths. Well placed and can figure in the finish again.
