VEGAS ON FIRE (14) hit the frame two starts ago at Seymour but ran below par last time when 11th and beaten 18 lengths over 7½f at Ballarat Synthetic. Finds a nice race and can make amends. BORDER VISAGE (17) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when fifth over 7f136yards at Geelong after he was in contention on the bend. Cherry-ripe now and is among the leading chances. IT'SBRUCE (5) had been racing well prior to finishing 5 lengths back in fourth over 1m at Bendigo. Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with two wins from four runs and shapes as one to consider. BONNAROO (9) scored last start at Horsham to make it two wins from two starts this campaign. Will find this a little tougher but cannot be underestimated.
