ON THE TARGET (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 4f76yards at Toowoomba, beaten half a length after being in contention on the corner. Beautifully placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. BEATLEMANIA (11) lines up for the first time since May 11. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 4f at Esk. One of the genuine hopes in the race. THE BELL JAR (7) got the prize two runs ago at Injune. Not as effective last time out when seventh over 5f at Toowoomba, beaten 10 lengths. Finds a more suitable contest and can rediscover winning form. ROSE ALICE (10) is coming along nicely this prep, scoring by a nose last start over 5f at Gayndah. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
