QUIRKY PRINCESS (3) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of four months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1m2 1/2f at Tuncurry. Tuned up with a fourth in a recent trial at Tamworth. Has ability and can get off the mark. SAMOAN ROMAN (7) wasn't far away on debut last start over 7f at Bathurst, finishing fifth and beaten 2 lengths. Open to improvement and looks a serious contender. MOON TREATY (11) spotted them a big start last time out and could only manage to finish eighth over 6½f at Scone. Among the chances on best figures. STORMY MALICE (13) finished 26 lengths away in ninth at her last appearance over 7¼f at Quirindi on August 4. Finds a suitable assignment this time and can improve.
