KOTAISHI (1) finished just a nose from the winner in second when returning from a layoff last start over 6½f at Canberra after racing handy. Taking on a better line-up this time but he good enough to play a major role. SISTER SHAY (12) did a good job last start to finish second at Albury over 7f, beaten 1.2 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Yet to find winning form this prep but has been thereabouts with two placings from three starts. Shapes as one to consider.
