RICH CHAMPAGNE (3) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just a nose from the winner in second over 1m at Stawell after being in contention on the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. ZED OR ALIVE (7) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 5.5 lengths into ninth over 1m at Hamilton. Fitter and sure to run well. THE BALLET DANCER (8) has been racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Kilmore over 1m2f. Won't find this as tough. Well placed and should be in the finish. RIPPA BUDDY (9) was beaten 2.25 lengths into sixth in a 1m1/4f contest at Werribee last time out. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
