LAUREL HILL (1) settled towards the back of the field last start and made little impact in the straight when ninth, beaten 9 lengths, over this journey at Newcastle. Meeting a deeper field this time but she is up to the challenge. OCEAN ALPS (5) settled well back and never threatened when beaten 16 lengths into 11th last time out over 6¾f at Ipswich. Will drift back but wind up late. Will be tough to stop. LADY LUCIFER (2) scored by a nose last start at Doomben over 6¾f after she was in the firing line on the turn. Form over this journey is strong, boasting three wins from five starts. Faces a far less daunting assignment this time. Well placed and is one of the contenders. WAKU WAKU (6) was beaten 14 lengths into sixth over 7½f at Muswellbrook last time out. No surprise to see her in the mix.
