SHARMAN PETE (7) was a winner over 7¼f at Murwillumbah last time out, dropping out early before coming home with a powerful run to score by 0.8 lengths. Should be in the finish again. WEE KAHUNA (8) was not far away last time out, finishing fourth over 7f122yards at Port Macquarie after he was well back on straightening. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Expected to run well. SPILLS (2) did little and finished 5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1m at this track last start after being in contention on the corner, a less impressive effort than his sixth at Coffs Harbour the run before. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. HE'S POPLAR (5) doesn't win out of turn but ran a nice race last time out over 1m at Rockhampton, finishing second and beaten 2.5 lengths. Can build on that solid recent effort.
