BUCKS FIZZ (3) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 6f at Gold Coast Poly. Will derive great benefit from recent racing. Ready to go one better. NOT A GURU (10) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fourth over 7f at Sunshine Coast. Sure to prove tough to stop. I'M NUMBER ONE (8) was in contention on the corner and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 6½f at Lismore after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Likely improver with strong prospects. DISCOVER (4) returns after four-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a sixth over 1m1/4f at Doomben. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Wyong over 6¾f. Tuned up with a fourth in a recent trial at Murwillumbah. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
