A competitive finale that might go the way of WAFEI (9). The lightly-raced gelding duly obliged in a Hamilton maiden at very short odds last time, but there is substance to his earlier form and with further progress expected now up in trip, a successful handicap debut could be on the cards. BLAKE (2) appears to be heading in the right direction and cannot be ignored following a snug success over 1m2f at Sandown. The last-start Limerick (1m2f) scorer RAPID MISSION (4) looks interesting on his first outing for new connections and SUN GOD (7), who was fourth at Newmarket (July) recently, should enjoy this stiffer stamina test.
