JUST WALTER (1) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 7f152yards at this track. Going well enough to take this out. LIFE OF TREE (2) is still a maiden after 14 starts. Managed to find the placings at Sunshine Coast two starts back before finishing fifth over 7f at Dalby last start. Among the leading chances. SAMURAI WAND (3) finished 1.75 lengths from the winner in fifth last start after being in contention on the turn over 7f152yards at this track, an improvement on his when resuming eighth at Gold Coast the run before. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. LACEYLACE (9) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Sunshine Coast, beaten 6 lengths into eighth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
