LUTON HOO (2) did a good job last start to finish second at this track over 1m1f, beaten one length. Hard to beat. GUARDED OPTIMIST (9) hasn't raced since finishing fourth at Grafton over 1m3 1/4f five-and-a-half weeks ago. Kept ticking over with a recent trial win at Gold Coast. One of the key chances. BOVIDAE (3) ran a better race last start, finishing 3 lengths away in fourth over 1m1f at this track. Karl Zechner gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. Capable of featuring prominently.
