SHAPIN POWER (9) held on well to finish third last time out over 7f152yards at this track after leading for much of the way. Will go forward again and looks tough to beat. SARATOGA POWER (11) finished sixth last time out over 5½f on turf at Doomben, beaten 4 lengths. First try on synthetic. Sure to be thereabouts. PYROIS (5) ran well below his best last time over 6f at Sunshine Coast, beaten 2.75 lengths into fifth at 15/8. Will drift back but wind up late. Will prove tough to stop. SPIRIT OF BRODIE (2) finished third last time over 5½f at Ipswich, beaten 2 lengths. This is an easier assignment and can get the job done.
