SUNSHINE HIGHWAY (4) is back from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 5½f at Sunshine Coast Poly. Ran fourth in a trial at Doomben over 4f43yards recently. Will be tough to beat. HER EXPENSE (2) settled well back before making steady ground in the straight last start to finish fifth, beaten 1.75 lengths, over this journey at this track. Sure to prove tough to stop. TORQUE ABOUT MAGIC (6) was prominent at the turn and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 5f at Sunshine Coast Poly after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. VELVET (5) was in contention on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5¼f at this track, beaten 0.8 lengths. Will strip fitter this time. Likely improver with top-three claims again.
