VANCITY (8) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when sixth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1m1/2f at Ipswich. Likely improver with strong prospects. STORMTROOPER (16) was expected to do more last start when out of the placings over 7f76yards at Gympie, beaten 7 lengths. Finds a tougher race but a better run is on the cards. FIVE STAR DECANTER (18) was in the money two starts back at this track but couldn't back it up last time when eighth, beaten 3 lengths, at this track over 7f152yards. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. FIFTY CARATS (14) doesn't win very often but ran a strong race last time out over 6f at this track, finishing fourth and beaten 1.75 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a bold display.
