WOLFOFFITROYSTREET (6) accounted for a maiden field over 1m3f at Ballarat Synthetic last start, finishing a head ahead of the nearest rival. Capable of making it two on the trot. WINSTON (3) went forward last start over 1m4f at this track and held on well for third, beaten 2. 25 lengths. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the key runners. BATOKA CHIEF (7) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1m4f at Sandown-Hillside after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Cory Parish gets the best out of this six-year-old gelding. Won't find this as tough so he is a major player. HAALAND (1) was prominent at the bend and finished third last time over 1m4f at Swan Hill, beaten 5 lengths. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves his chance.
