SHOWBOAT (3) showed good early dash when resuming last start and held on well to finish 1.75 lengths back in second over 7f at Pakenham. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. APPPLEBY (9) hasn't been far away lately, last time out finishing just 2.75 lengths back in fourth over 7f122yards at this track. Racing well without winning and gets her chance to break through. MISSILE MEG (11) was never in contention when 10 lengths from the winner in 13th over 1m at Moe last start, a less impressive effort than her fourth at Yarra Valley the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. THINKHARDANDFAST (5) was well fancied when resuming last start and proved too strong, scoring by a nose over 7f at Kerang. Open to plenty of improvement and she can measure up again.
