QUANTUM IMPACT (2) turned in an eye-catching run over 7½f at Mornington last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Bold showing expected with the blinkers added. MCADAM (5) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 7½f at this track after being in the firing line all the way. Finds a tougher race but another big run is on the cards. APPPLEBY (9) turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better at Pakenham over 1m, beaten one length. Hasn't been far away this time in work with four minor placings from eight starts. Expected to be competitive. MAUI MAN (3) stuck on well last start to finish third over 7f at Pakenham after showing good early speed. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race.
