SHAALUTE (6) was beaten just a head last start when second in a small field over 6½f at Cranbourne. Will be fitter for that run, should be in the finish again. SIGNOR BILL (7) was on debut at Sandown-Lakeside last start where he made a sustained run and finished second, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 6½f. Meets easier opposition this time. Best form puts him right in this. ROCK POP (3) was well fancied on debut last start and was not far off the mark, finishing second and beaten 2 lengths over 5½f at Ballarat. Has ability and is among the chances. FULLHEADOFSTEAM (1) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 10 lengths behind the winner in sixth over 6f at Pakenham. Plenty of scope for improvement. Must be respected.
