TALAKAI (8) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 1m2f at Murwillumbah five months ago. Expected to be in the finish with the blinkers removed. HAYAKU (2) finished out of the money but was not too far away when resuming last start over 6½f at Sunshine Coast. Will find this a little easier than last time. Best form puts him right in this. HUSSON'S REVENGE (4) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.3 lengths over 7f at Dalby. Going up a level this time but he is good enough to play a major role. CRAZY EYED FRED (9) has not won for a long while. Last raced on April 29 when beaten 3 lengths into eighth at this track over 5½f after he was well back on straightening. Likely improver who should be about the mark.
