ROYALE VELOUTE (4) got off the mark when resuming from a lay-off over 6½f at Hawkesbury last start, scoring by 1.1 lengths. Capable of taking the next step. ENDORSEMENT (1) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 6f87yards at Canberra Acton, beaten 4.5 lengths. Must raise the bar but a big run will not surprise. ISHAMASHI (7) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 3.5 lengths back in second over 5f130yards at Dubbo. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. TINCITY (8) turned in a modest performance when third last start over 6f at Mudgee, beaten 4.5 lengths after a good win on debut at Wagga. Expect a better run this time.
