MUKHTALIF (2) pushed forward and went on to record a determined win when resuming last start by 2 lengths over 1m1f at Caulfield. Will again be prominent from the outset. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he cannot be underestimated. FIRST CHORUS (6) had been in sparkling form winning two races on end but was just edged out most recently when second over 1m at Caulfield. Hard to knock and is a winning chance. SKIPPERS CANYON (3) settled well back from a good draw last time before getting home nicely to finish fourth, beaten 2 lengths, over 7f at Caulfield. Was outdashed but got going late and the extra ground looks a big plus. Can get home into the finish. CAVALRY (15) scored last start at Newcastle to make it two wins from three starts this campaign. Takes on a tougher assignment but is too good to overlook.
