DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (11) could only manage fifth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5f at Fairview All Weather, beaten only a long neck. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MONOCLE (7) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 6f at this track. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. HAT MAN (4) is a 19-start maiden struggling to break through but has been in the money at the last couple of outings, the latest when second over 5f at this track. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Will be in this for a long way. AND ACTION (3) is a 17-start maiden who has been in the money nine times, Could only manage eighth last time out over 6f at this track. Has a sound record here with three top-three finishes from five starts. Among the fringe hopes.
