SNIPER'S SON (2) turned in a bold run when resuming when he tried to lead throughout but faded and finished fourth, beaten 1.1 lengths at this track. Expected to go close. SERVICEMAN (7) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on 2/11/2024, finishing seventh and beaten 3.5 lengths over 7f at Kalgoorlie. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. PARADISE STAR (4) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a sixth over 6f at this track. Natasha Faithfull gets the best out of this five-year-old mare. Best figures measure up nicely. Can do a lot better. ZEBEDEE SPRINGS (3) returns from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months and is having her first run for a new yard. Was a winner when fresh last campaign at Mildura over 5f122yards. Fitter for a minor placing in a recent Esperance trial.
