PERSICA (4) won this twelve months ago to take his record at the track to two from two and he will have been aimed at it once more. Richard Hannon's classy five-year-old finished a good fourth behind Damysus in the G3 Earl of Sefton Stakes at Newmarket (Rowley) on his reappearance and that should have put him spot on for this. He won't mind any ease in the ground and can get the better of BOILING POINT (1) who drops back in trip having battled on well to claim the Listed Festival Stakes over 1m2f at Goodwood. ICE MAX (3) was 1. 75L behind in sixth that day but would hold major claims on his prior third in the G2 Huxley Stakes at Chester. QIRAT (5) heads the remainder.
