SPITZBERG (3) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on October 9, finishing ninth and beaten 6 lengths over 6½f at Rockhampton. Sure to make his presence felt. SOUL SPIRIT (5) is a seven-year-old mare who is having her first run for the Wayne Baker yard. Hasn't raced since finishing eighth at Darwin ten weeks ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks nicely placed. Expected to be in the finish. DEVOTED DEPUTY (1) is a six-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Leaonie Horstman stable. Resumes after finishing sixth at Taree at his last run 11 weeks ago. Not seen at the trials but is in a nice race. Bold showing expected. SILENT ANGEL (8) returns after a lay-off of nine weeks. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 5f at Bluff. Makes plenty of appeal.
