KIMONO (7) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish 11th, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 6f at Benalla. Well placed and should be tough to rein in. SUPAMANO (5) hit the frame two starts ago at Benalla but ran below par last time when seventh and beaten 4.5 lengths over 7f at Wodonga. Likely improver with strong prospects. ALASKAN STORM (12) settled well back last start and never threatened when 11 lengths from the winner in 11th over 7f at Mildura. Nicely placed to make amends. HOT ONE (10) hasn't raced since finishing ninth at Ballarat Synthetic over 7½f two months ago. Kept ticking over with a placing in a recent trial at Wangaratta. Makes plenty of appeal on best form.
