PYROLYSIS (9) is back after a break of four-and-a-half months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at her latest appearance over 5f at Wagga. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Canterbury over 5½f. Ran fourth in a recent trial at Rosehill. Has ability and can get off the mark. PIERATA'S SPIRIT (3) is a son of Pierata from the Group 3 winner St Covet's Spirit who makes his debut. Is trialling well should run a big race. MAGIC INVADER (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 5½f at Ipswich, beaten 2 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to take this out. DUCHESS DIFFICULT (5) drifted back early on debut last start then worked home strongly to finish 1. 4 lengths away in second at Sunshine Coast over 5f. Among the chances.
