WHISPERING ROGUE (7) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at this track, beaten 2. 25 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Beautifully placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. MELDUBIOUS (4) is back from a lay-off of four months. Closed last prep with a fourth, beaten 4 lengths, over 6f at Doomben. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Has solid credentials. COL BURN (12) was a winner over 5½f at Sunshine Coast last time, racing on the pace before getting the upper hand and scoring by a head. Cannot be underestimated.
