TORQUE TO BE SURE (1) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Could only manage to finish eighth at the latest run over 1m in the G1 JJ Atkins at this track. Opened last prep with a minor placing at this track over 5f. Has trialled well leading into this. Set for a bold return. FORGOTTEN SPIRIT (6) is a four-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 2 lengths when fourth over 5f at this track. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration. SPIRIT OF BARTY (10) returns from a short break after winning over 5f at Sunshine Coast seven weeks ago. Shouldn't lack fitness after a recent Eagle Farm trial placing. Will give the top chances plenty to think about.
