HAWKER HALL (2) displayed plenty of early toe and went on to score by 0.9 lengths last time out over 5½f at Doomben. Can cross from an awkward gate. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SICILIAN (1) finished sixth two runs back at Ipswich then improved last time out to score by 1.3 lengths as favourite over 5½f at Doomben. Likely to be there at the finish again. PARETO (3) is having his first run since April 26. Has a strong record when fresh with two wins from three runs, the most recent over 5f at Ballina at the start of last prep. Fitter for a recent trial win at Doomben. Makes plenty of appeal.
