MEAN GIRLS (9) has scored at her last two starts, most recently by a neck over 6f at Mendooran as favourite. That continued the solid form this campaign, with four wins and four minor placings from nine starts. Big chance once again. ARTIEOS (15) returns from a short break after finishing sixth over 5f21yards at Moruya seven-and-a-half weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a recent Moruya trial placing. One of the key chances. JOANNESKI (8) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 1.75 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at Gulargambone. Arthur Pollock gets the best out of this five-year-old mare. Steps up a level but she is good enough to take this out. EAST HARLEM (1) finished tenth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 6f at Bathurst, beaten only 1.5 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
