WHAT A CROSS (9) last appeared on April 11 when a good fifth over 1m4 3/4f at Morphettville, beaten 2. 5 lengths. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. EPOCH (6) was comfortably accounted for when fourth last time out over 1m3 1/4f at Werribee, beaten 4. 5 lengths. That followed a win at Stawell at the previous outing. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. TRIORA (13) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 4 lengths back in fourth over 1m2f at Warrnambool. Can figure in the finish.
