CODENAME (1) was in contention all the way and fought on for third last start over 4f190yards at Swan Hill, making it two minor placings in a row. Should settle just off the speed despite the draw. Well placed this line-up and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. LOTS OF TORQUE (7) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 5f at this track when coming back from a break. Solid prospects. STARBURST (11) raced once in the maiden campaign when ninth at Werribee over 5f back on December 7. Plenty of scope for improvement. BRILLIANT BEAGLE (6) was below her best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 8 lengths over 5f at Wangaratta. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
