FLUENT (9) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Bendigo, beaten 2 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a more suitable contest and can take this out. FLUX (11) had been racing well with two consecutive placings before last start managing only 12th over 5½f at Flemington. This is far easier. Well placed so expecting a strong run. BAKERSBEND (10) finished 3. 5 lengths back from the winner last start at Swan Hill and is down in weight this time. Has a strong record at this distance with a win and three minor placings from four starts and shapes as one to consider. STEEL MOVE (4) finished third last start over 5½f at Bendigo when he worked home well, beaten 2 lengths. Will be rock-hard fit. Capable of another top-three outcome.
