STAR CANTO (9) stuck on well when resuming last start to finish third over 6½f at Bendigo after showing good early speed. Ready to go a couple better. LAYIN' UP (6) is a eight-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing second at Mt Gambier over 7f last time out. Taking on a better line-up this time but she has the ability to mix it with them. SEDNA (13) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 3.5 lengths when sixth over 6½f at Seymour three-and-a-half weeks ago. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. TRIPLE OH (11) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a eighth over 1m at Camperdown. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Hamilton trial. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
