TIMBOLTON (14) got the prize two runs ago at Bendigo. Couldn't follow that up last time out when seventh over 1m at Warracknabeal, beaten 7 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. MISS RUBYDOO (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she settled well back over 1m1/2f at Sale, beaten 19 lengths into ninth. Finds a nice race and can take this out. PONTMEIRION (2) settled well back when 10 lengths from the winner in tenth over 7f at Echuca last start, a less impressive effort than his ninth at Ballarat Synthetic the run before. Finds the right race this time and can turn things around. SIR WILLIAM BRUCE (12) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when tenth over 6½f at Wangaratta, beaten 3.5 lengths. Nicely placed to figure in the finish.
