Well placed and should be in the finish. CHICANE (8) finished fifth last start over 1m1 1/2f at this track after racing on the pace for much of the way. Will take some beating. NICCO THE GREEK (1) was in the firing line on the turn and finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at Hobart, beaten one length. Nicely placed to play a major role. CARNEROS (2) finished third at Hobart two runs back but was less effective last time over 6¾f at this track, finishing 5.5 lengths back in sixth. Nicely placed to bounce back.
