PERIWINKLE (5) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten half a length, over 5f130yards at Launceston. Rates highly and will be hard to peg back. STARS IN THE NIGHT (6) went fast early over 5¾f at this track when resuming last time and dug deep to score by a long neck. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. MISS KEEDS (10) hasn't raced since a win at Hobart over 5f four weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a placing in a recent trial at Devonport Synthetic. Has definite claims at her best. POWER MAGNUM (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5¾f at this track, beaten 4 lengths into sixth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
