KICK STARTNESS (7) got the prize two runs ago at this track. Couldn't follow that up last time out when third over 1m at Timonium, beaten 6 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Has started three times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. The engagement of Jamie Rodriguez is a positive move. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. MASAKADO (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at this track, beaten 1.75 lengths into fourth after being prominent at the turn. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. STRIKING SPARKS (6) was prominent at the bend and finished second last time over 1m at this track (Dirt), beaten 1.5 lengths. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. B DAWK (5) is back at the races for the first time since July 4. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 1m1/2f at Penn National. Has switched to the Hugh I McMahon yard. Among the better hopes.
