HURRICANE WAY (2) wound up strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when fresh from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Will take a lot from that hitout. Must raise the bar but this looks well within his grasp. OPUS UNO (5) returns from a lay-off of seven months and did win when resuming last time in work over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Has ability and should be right in the finish. BAZOOKA CHARLIE (3) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Santa Anita, beaten 7 lengths. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
