BOLD JULIUS (13) showed good early speed last start over this journey at Kilcoy before finishing second, beaten 2.75 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. JIMMY'S DREAM (4) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished fifth when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Toowoomba then improved and scored as public elect over 5f at Goondiwindi two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by a nose. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. UNION SPIRIT (11) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when seventh over 7f65yards at Esk three-and-a-half weeks ago. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to take this out. MR WANDJI (5) hasn't been too far away of late, the latest effort a fifth, beaten 1.5 lengths, at Toowoomba over 6½f. Has managed three minor placings from four runs at this circuit. Must be respected.
