KUZCO LAD (2) finished out of the money two starts back then he was never in contention and was beaten 5 lengths when fifth in a 6½f contest at Rockhampton two weeks ago. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. THE STONE MASON (13) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Mungindi with success over 7f at Blackall two weeks ago, getting home by half a length. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. MARCADA (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 1.2 lengths when fifth in a 7f contest at Goondiwindi two-and-a-half weeks ago. Has a good record at this course and distance, including three wins. Worth noting Justin P Stanley goes aboard. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. DOONA (8) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 0.7 lengths over 6f at Toowoomba. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing.
