REGAL EDITION (2) comes here off a last-start fifth, beaten 3 lengths, over 7f at Eagle Farm. Will prove tough to beat. TAKARA STAR (5) saluted at Ipswich two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when in the firing line on the turn before finishing sixth over 6¾f at Warwick, beaten 2.75 lengths. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. TOMBOY'S SPIRIT (10) resumed over 6f at Warwick last start and was too good for her rivals, scoring by a head. Fitter for that last hitout and looks a big threat to the top selection. MARTINI DANCER (8) was beaten 7 lengths into fifth over 6½f at Toowoomba at her latest appearance. Better than recent efforts suggest.
