GINGERBREAD BOY (2) wasn't far away on debut last start over 6f at Gold Coast Poly, finishing fourth and beaten 4.5 lengths. Leading player with plenty of improvement in store. SMASH 'N' GRAB (9) progressed nicely last time out to finish just one length from the winner in third over 5½f at Warwick. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. CASINO CAT (14) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Chinchilla, beaten 10 lengths into sixth. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. FIELD OF MARS (3) could only manage to finish fourth, beaten 2.5 lengths, at his latest appearance over 6f at Toowoomba. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race.
