BACASH (10) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of six months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 5½f at Caulfield Heath. Looks up to the mark following a trial win at Flemington. Well placed and happy to have him on top. EXPULSION (11) is a three-start maiden who finished fifth, beaten 2.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Flemington. Can come on from that run and looks a serious contender. OCEANELLA (7) did her best work late and finished third last time over 6f at Seymour, beaten 0.7 lengths. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. SOUTHAMPTON FLARE (1) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh over 6f at Swan Hill. Fitter so can figure in the finish.
