MOCKRIDGE (4) was in the money two starts back at Pakenham but was unable to repeat the effort last time when sixth, beaten 2.5 lengths, at Geelong over 7f. Finds a tougher race but a big run will not surprise. WOLLEMIA ANGEL (13) has not figured so far this prep. Missed the placings, beaten 1.75 lengths, two runs back when resuming over 6¼f at Geelong then failed to complete the course last time out at Geelong. Certainly worth another chance. SKY DEEL (18) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 7f at Sandown-Lakeside when third, beaten 7 lengths. Likely improver so another top-three finish is on the cards. VELLASGLORY (7) faced the starter for the first time and finished sixth last start at this track over 6f, beaten 3 lengths. Should be thereabouts.
