MACHETE (7) wasn't far away on debut last start over 6f at Sandown-Lakeside, finishing fifth and beaten 2 lengths. Likely improver who is expected to be in the finish. BRUTAL EYES (2) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 7f at Pakenham. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. LENNYSTAR (4) returned last time with a solid third at Sale over 5½f. Must raise the bar but a big run is on the cards. THUNDER HAWK (10) returns from a lay-off of six months and is having her first run for a new yard. Finished fifth at Bendigo over 6½f when when resuming last time in work. Placed in a recent trial.
